It was a Monday evening, Aarti was standing on the balcony, she was looking down at the children playing in the park. Just then a few drops fell from her eyes.
Aarti had a great love for children. She used to talk to them, play with them, and gave them chocolates. She was such a good and happy person. Yet there was something, which was killing her from inside. Things had not gone fair with her. In her childhood, she had an accident. Because of this, she can’t conceive a child.
‘I want to be a mother, “Aarti said to Rahul. He was not only her husband but also her best friend. He also knew about the accident before marrying her. “Sure, love, you will be,” he replied to her.

“Rahul, can I ever be a mother? How long do I have to wait? Please don’t lie to me”. “You will be, don’t worry”, but when Aarti asked her,” I am in my 30, I am getting old, I too want to feel motherhood”, This time Rahul had no answer for her. “These days will not last forever,” he said with a heavy heart and left for the office.
The next morning was Sunday. Rahul, who used to sleep till afternoon, had woken up early. “Good morning, here is breakfast and coffee, Rahul woke her wife. Aarti was surprised and happy too at the same time.” As far, I remember it is not our anniversary.” Rahul smiled,” you ask too many questions, finish your breakfast and get ready.”
Aarti was a bit confused, she again asked “where are we going”. “That’s a surprise,” Rahul answered while starting the engine of the car. “The journey will be long. Why don’t you take a nap”? Aarti thought it was a good idea and was already snoring.
“Wake up, we have reached” Rahul woke her wife. Aarti had woken up and was rubbing her eyes. Within a minute, she was in tears and happy too. They were outside ‘ASHA ORPHANAGE HOUSE.’ “You can be a mother”, said Rahul, kissing her forehead.
