Be clear in your mind

The first thing that you should be doing. Before speaking, it’s very important to clear the mind. Your mind is full of stuff that might distract you while speaking. When your mind is not clear, you become anxious and nervous. Many times nervousness plays a lead over you. You lose control of yourselves and you speak without thinking. In our minds, you are so jumbled up. You forget what to say or how to say it. So, First Clear your mind of doubts before starting a conversation.

People love to speak about them

You are in between a conversation and it’s going to end soon, according to you. You don’t have things to talk about. Anytime you feel like running out of topics. Switch to these 3 subjects -family, jobs, and hobbies. You can literally keep the conversation going with these. You don’t have to follow chronology in talking about these but doing so will upgrade the conversation. Ask them about their hobbies or the jobs they do. What they like and what they don’t. Be an active listener

Don’t just listen for the sake of speaking. If you only go on speaking, you will fall short of words. Moreover, If you keep on speaking about yourself, no one will pay attention to you. Both listening and speaking make up the conversation. To make the conversation go, you have to give others a chance to speak. When you listen to them, you understand them. Moreover, by listening to them, you will know more about them. This could give more topics to keep the conversation going.

Be true about yourself

Don’t be a liar, as no one likes one. Just To keep the conversation going, you should not be lying about yourself or others. There are few who always speak about their life and all the interesting things about it. No one will like this if you go on explaining how expensive your cars or vacations are. Moreover don’t pretend something that you are not really. Be true to your words, be genuine, and don’t try to fool others. To sound exciting, you don’t have to lie or be bogus. If something is exciting about your life, talk about it but don’t brag about it.

Don’t sound negative

No one likes talking to a negative person. No one will listen to your losses or misery, as they have their own. Also, you should not be speaking negatively about others. In my opinion, we all have issues in our life. Yet, you can try to be happy.
