What is confidence?
Confidence, in simple words, is having faith in oneself. To improve confidence., You have to trust yourselves, irrespective of whether others are doing it or not. It is not built in a day, it takes time. But trust me it is worth waiting for.
Our Confidence depends on attitude and belief system. There is a common mistake of ours, We believe more in what others say and think about us. Rather than our own beliefs. Thus, limiting our capabilities to others’ thinking.
What causes low confidence?
To name a few, criticism, habits, loneliness, and being unprepared for the future. When you come across these, you feel low in confidence. These things are common, think of them as part of life. Try to face them and not run from them.
We lack confidence because we think more about others thinking. Others are going to say, irrespective of your win or loss. So why are you bothering them? Pursue your dreams, and do what you like. If you have a passion pursue it.
The only reason we don’t pursue our dreams is we think a lot of thoughts like- we might fail, people might laugh at us. We might not stand up again. Trust me, this hardly matters. So, start working on your dreams rather than thinking about others.
You do not develop confidence in a single day; it requires time, discipline, and patience. Practice and positive thinking are key players in this game. Success is not a single-day job.
3 Ways to improve confidence
1. Proper planning
Make a plan, We are not confident about trying new things or projects. This is because of the fear of the unknown. With a plan you can plan the right course of action, it will also help when things go out of control.
Whether it’s an interview or a date if you planned it well. The chances of getting it done are more. When we lack a plan, we don’t know what to do. We feel nervous and we fumble. Making the plan beforehand will definitely improve confidence.
2. Positive thinking
This will definitely improve confidence. positive thinking is important. You need to convince yourselves first that you can do it. If you are successful in it, then nothing can stop you. Once you believe in yourselves, no one can stop you. It’s hard to be positive when things go out of hand, But being sad will also not help.
If you believe in achieving something and you are consistently working hard for it, you will make it sooner or later. All the negativity outside can do so no harm if we are positive inside. Believe in yourselves and your dreams, Give your best, give it all Stress, patience, and hard work, and just do it.
3. Motivation
Motivation builds confidence. Watch motivational video, listen to podcasts. Give yourself 30 minutes of motivation daily. Find your role model, it can be anyone, family, or friends. Someone you look on to as an idol, someone with confidence and passion. Try to observe and learn from them. Speaking to and being with them will make you feel confident.
