Blogging mistakes: Bloggers should avoid

Focus on your niche

When it comes to blogging. There are many topics or niches for you to write about. The options vary from fashion and food to lifestyle. So, Go for something you are interested in and at least know the basics about it.

Choosing the niche is where newbies go wrong. Go for something you are interested in or have a passion for. Don’t follow the trend, just because it is in demand.

Choose a light theme

For blogging, I prefer light themes. They have their advantages, they are simple, appealing to the audience, and easy to edit and design. Moreover,  readers will find it easier to read on a white background than on a dark background.

Too much of widgets

Another blogging mistake is using too many widgets. Don’t keep too many things in the sidebar widgets of your website/blog. As it makes your readers confused and deviates their attention. They are here to read your blog/content.

By keeping your sidebar less complex, you will focus , and overall it will give a good and pleasant look to your website.

Don’t do plagiarism

Plagiarism is when you copy others’ content without their approval or without giving them credit. Yes, You can be inspired by other bloggers, but it does not mean you should copy them. This is a blogging mistake that could really get you in trouble.

Read their contents but don’t copy them. Make your own content.

Conclusion

Blogging is something to learn and practice. The more you practice it, the more you get better at it.
