Do Schools give us life-lessons or academic lessons?
For some both of them, might sound the same but it is not. We canβt be denying the fact that schools give us basic knowledge, about how to live a life, how to earn a living, and how to be a human being. But sometimes school missed giving us the basic skills, and life lessons that we need to run our day-to-day activities, this is what we are going to discuss.
1. Dealing with failure
Schools or education systems never encourage failure, they donβt want us to fail. They will try to avoid it by giving us extra classes or extra homework or even punishing us. They donβt teach us about the benefits of failure and that for success we do have to fail sometimes. A life-lessons that everyone should know.

2. Mental health is important
But, we donβt give any importance to it and schools also take less importance in it. There are counselors in schools and they organized orientation also, but it is not so effective. Schools need to give more importance to it and should teach students about mental health, handling pressure, gratitude, and support system.
3. Handling hatred and bullies
In schools, we meet bullies who think themselves to be above everyone. We try to ignore them, but they never stop they continue to bully us. Bullies donβt end here, we can meet them after school too in social gatherings, in the office. So we need to learn to handle them with confidence. Schools should make strict rules against bullies, and also they should increase the morale and confidence of students.
4. Finance is important
Schools teach us maths but not much about managing finances, and later being a college degree. But finance is important and schools should teach about it. Managing money, investing it, and planning for the future need to be taught in school. If it cannot be done, then at least basic knowledge about money should be in the curriculum.
Academics are important but we canβt ignore life lessons, they too are crucial. If schools try, they can arrange for it, which will help the students to become a better person.
