Adding subtitles to YouTube videos is very easy. YouTube is the most popular video search engine. Everything and anything is available on YouTube.

Do you have a channel on YouTube and want to Know About adding subtitles to your video? Then this article is for you. Creators should add subtitles to their YouTube videos. Doing this will make your video accessible to a wider audience.

Viewers can click the “CC” button, to view the subtitles. There are many ways of doing it, uploading an SRT file, using auto-translate, or typing them… But the best way to add subtitles to your YouTube video will be to upload a written file.

Things you will need are:

  • YouTube account
  • YouTube studio account

Subtitles files should be in YouTube-supported formats like SRT and SUB.

Let’s see how to add subtitles to YouTube

Log into your YouTube studio account

Click on subtitles on the left side menu below your profile

Select the video to add subtitles

A video subtitles page will open, choose the language.

It is the language in which your subtitles will be uploaded.

Click on confirm.

You can even add subtitles in over one language.

Click on the option below, “Add”

“ how you want to add” window will open.

Pick the file to upload.

Then, select the option with timing, and click on continue to upload the subtitles file.
