Difference between want and need

Let’s say you are thirsty, and you have to choose between a glass of water and cold drinks. You may think that it is the cold drink that you need as it looks more appealing, but it is the water that your body needs. It’s not an easy thing to differentiate between wants and needs because they look similar at first glance.

So, when you come across this type of situation, you should hold yourselves and clear your mind first before deciding what to do. You should know whether you want it or need something. You should always ask yourself this question. Do you need it? Is it going to help you?

Sometimes due to peer pressure and status symbols, we end up buying things we don’t need. Those things did not help us, and sometimes it is just a showpiece in our cupboard. So, before buying anything, always think for a while. Do you need it? Is it going to help you, is it important for you? Will it help in your studies? Is it going to get you a promotion? The more you ask, the easier it will be to differentiate and we can decide.
