Is Love enough for a marriage to be successful? I am not saying, it is not important. It is essential with all other things like commitment, money, and understanding. So, if you want to know more about it, you should read this article.

Being in a relationship is different from being in a marriage. The latter requires more participation and responsibility. You can move from relationships if it is toxic but you can’t move from a marriage easily. Relationships start with love but as it move further, it need other pillars too- money, commitment, and respect. It is normal to come across situations and difficulties in relationships, Things get out of control and you want to quit. That is the time to think closely and see what is going wrong. Communication and mutual understanding help in getting out of these situations. Relationships and issues run parallel to each other and instead of worrying about it, you should be resolving it.

Marriage, being loved or arranged does not guarantee its success. There are cases where love marriages are not so successful, though before it they had a long relationship. Also, being arranged does not give a full success percentage. So what does make a marriage successful?

Success and failure of marriage depend upon both the partner, not one. If you and your partner can still sit down and discuss your issues, there are chances for the relationship to survive. If partners communicate their concerns to one another and really put an effort to resolve them, then only they can survive the relationship and their marriage.

Are you ready to take the next step? Do you really want to get married? These decisions are not to be taken in a hurry. For a marriage, many things should be discussed (for example, money. Kids, values, family,…). Not only knowing this but also taking the initiative to understand it and active participation in discussing it decides the future of the relationship.

Few Points to decide before marriage

1. Do you really want – See dating and hanging out together is one thing, but marriage is something else? So before getting hitched, you need to be clear about the relationship and its future.

2. Love- The essence of a relationship Is love and If you lack it then what is the point of the marriage? Don’t be confused between attraction and love. As “everything appealing to eyes is not always good” Before taking the big step, ask yourself: Are you really into love, or is it the beauty or the money?

3. Children- Be bold and open towards talking about sensitive issues, children and family planning is one of it. This is to decide before the marriage as after it, you may not get time for that. Having a baby and being a parent is a dual decision, it can’t be made by one, so don’t dominate your partner. Go for it, when both of you are ready.

4. House- Your single apartment may be good for you as a bachelor, but after marriage, you might have to shift to a bigger space.

5. Financial stability– Being a bachelor is cheap, but marriage is a costly affair. After marriage, expenses are definitely going to increase, so being prepared beforehand is a good thing. Yet, Many couples don’t understand this and go through a lot of trouble, as they don’t take their finances seriously.
