Why I prefer Chromebook

Are you looking to buy a laptop? Is Chromebook also in your options? Then please read this article. This article will help you to get some idea about Chromebook.

Ordinary laptops and Chromebook are the same. Yes, they are to some extent at least. A Chromebook does the same work as Windows. though it might differ in speed and performance overall it is good.

The only difference is that everything in Chromebook is net-backed. Yes, that’s true, without the internet you won’t be able to do even the basics things. As most of its apps are cloud-based. When it comes to price, Chromebooks are not as expensive as compared to other Windows laptops.

Back in 2011, Google launched its low-cost laptops backed by Google Chrome OS. Since they are made by Google, the majority of its applications/ software are cloud-based. 

Not only Google but  HP, Dell, Samsung, and Lenovo also sell Chromebooks. In fact Google has its Premium Chromebook called Pixelbook.

What is Chromebook

Chromebook comes with an operating system, called Chrome OS. It has an inbuilt Chrome browser for navigation and browsing. It also has a file manager and an app launcher.

Who should buy Chromebook

If 60 percent of your work is done online, then Chromebook is what you need. It comes with Google apps and if you want any other apps, you can easily download it from Google Play Store.

Good for gaming

It’s good for gaming too. It supports all Android games. As most of the games are available on the Android platform. You don’t have to think so much about gaming.

Limitations of Chromebook

Since it does not support Windows, windows-based applications will not work here. Though a good deal of software has Android versions, there are some which don’t.

Who shall buy it

Chromebook is made for students and bloggers. These laptops are lightweight and come in budget. They are backed by Google. They have good battery life. So you should try it out.

Windows laptops and Chromebook are both different. Yes, they do the same work. But they differ in speed and multi-tasking. Some software doesn’t support Chromebooks. But they have alternatives too. You can go for it. If you are looking for a laptop on a budget, you should go for a Chromebook.
