A hobby is something/ Activity you do for fun or to relax. Hobbies are done on weekends, as you don’t have to go to the office or college. The popular ones are Dancing, Singing, Drawing, Public Speaking, and even sports.

Nowadays Companies don’t look for only academics, or work experience, they are looking for something more. Stuff like risk-taking, pressure handling, teamwork, and cooperation to name a few, all these things are mentioned in the hobbies section of the resume.

For example, if you play chess, it shows you are good at pressure handling and creative thinking, and public speaking says you are a good orator or presenter. Every hobby defines a characteristic of the personality. This is why you should mention hobbies on the resume.

Writing

” The more you write, the better you write “. Writing improves your communication skills. In the office you have to write emails, presentations, and reports, Having this hobby in your resume will surely get you the job.

Yoga/ Meditation

Having yoga as hobbies in your resume says a lot of things about you. You are a calm person, you can handle pressure, and manage work-life balance.

Art

The artist is creative, what’s else a company wants? Creative people are problem solvers, they use their imagination and creative thinking to solve critical problems.
