1.Don’t be shy – First advise to younger self.
There was a time when I used to be shy, I lacked confidence; I used to avoid talking to people. This made me a bitter person (What others think about me). I was uncomfortable mixing with people.
I regret not making new friends or keeping the old ones. Being shy, I treated it as a weakness but it is not. It is a common behavior. If a person is shy, he/she should not be hiding it, but rather facing it. Now, looking back at it. I want to say that being shy is ok. I advise to younger self, it is ok to be shy, it is not something great to be worried about.
But not talking to others is wrong. Many of us are shy, but that does not make us weak or bad. Rather, we should insist on trying and interacting with others. It might not be easy, but it is worth it.
2.Accept who you are.
I remember resisting others, friends, and family. Even though they were telling the truth, I would never accept it. I was afraid to accept it. Accepting my failure, my feelings can make me weak. I used to believe that. I didn’t like others speaking about me. In my mind, I was perfect and never wrong.
But now, I realized all of them were not wrong. If I would have listened to them, if I had accepted my failure and weakness, I could have improved on them. If someone is saying something about you, and you don’t like it. I insist you should listen to it for a try. Even though it makes you angry, you should be open to criticism and feedback.
I advise to younger self to accept his mistake and failures. We sometimes are blind to our habits and wrongs. If someone points it out to you, think about it before denying it. I would advise my younger self to accept what you are and be proud of it.
3.Don’t worry about the future.
the future is never in our control, yet we worry about it. I remember in school; I used to think about college. And in college, I used to think about jobs. I spent my time thinking rather than working. Now I think that instead of worrying, what if I had enjoyed it?
Those days are gone and will never come back. Now I realized being in the moment is not enough, You got to love it as well.
I advise to younger self not to be too worried about the future Now I will not think about the future. Yes, I will prepare for it but not worry about it. Whatever comes on my plate, I will enjoy every bite.
4.Never be afraid of failure.
As a child, they taught me never to fail. But is it possible? No matter how good we are, we are going to fail someday or another. Failures are important for success. Those who don’t fail can never win. Both failure and Success complement each other.
If you don’t fail, you can never learn. When you fail, you question yourselves and you improve. Similarly, just because of failure, never let go of any opportunity. Rather I think about giving my best effort and even though I fail, I will not be afraid to rise again. I advise to younger self not to be afraid of failures or challenges and to learn from them.
